For Parents

Aim High! Dream Big! Achieve More!

Morning Arrival

The building will open at 7:00 a.m. each morning. Students should not arrive before 7:00 am as they will not be supervised. Students will report directly to the cafeteria when doors open if they choose to eat breakfast. All other students will report to their assigned courtyard. Every student should be in his or her homeroom by 7:35 a.m.

Student Attendance

Students are expected to be at school each day. When a student is absent, the parent must call the attendance office on the day of the absence. When returning to school after an absence, students must bring a signed and dated note from a parent stating the reason for the absence. A doctor's note is required for any student missing 3 days in a row.

Parent Involvement

Parker Intermediate is a Title 1 School. We encourage on-going parent involvement. The PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a vital part of our school. We encourage you to support the PTO by becoming an active member. Successful students thrive with the development of the family and school relationship. Parents and schools need to work together for the betterment of the students. Parents play an important role in providing support and building the confidence of their children. Parents should check some of the tips or activities they can use to develop their children’s confidence and improve their school experience.
